I don't know what the right answer is here, but it's a great distraction for the fans and media and moves some focus from CLK and team so they can work on things that are actually meaningful to this season.
If this turns out to be the most negative news of Fall camp, I'll take it.

Simple, JD doesn't own #5. LSU doesn't officially retire #s, just player Jerseys. JD and his lawyer and family have no claim on that # for his NIL.
So DJ5 can wear it and LSU is at no fault.
