I disagree. I know CLM does what's right for the team... but JJ had a horrible Spring practice and he would have been the starter if he didn't go field goal kicking heads at Shady's. CLM is gonna go with Mett no matter how Spring pans out IMO.

I don't think Randall changes positions
I agree... put him behind center in the shotgun and the defense has to defend pass and account for him running the ball. He has the physical abilities, we will see if he has the mental aspect to run an offense and read the play as it unfolds then make the right decision.

Don't you guys get it? Every QB deserves to play every snap at LSU. They are golden gods. If any QB does not play, it is an insult from Miles and the coaching staff

...oh good grief ... lets start another JJ/JL style frenzy .. how about this question : what are the chances all the players from the previous year recruiting class transfer b/c there were players at their position recruited this year ?

Of course they gave Mett a chance - in practice. The coaches saw him practice and decided their best chance for victory was with Mett on the bench. The reason Mett never got meaningful snaps is because it wasn't even a close call. Mett was radically inferior to JJ and JL. Now, hopefully that's just because of a lack of preparation, but when I saw Mett's immaturity on display, when he ran that bootleg against Ole Miss, I wondered if he'll ever be trusted with LSU's QB position.
