Fair enough, but I think playing a Boise St. or TCU is worse.

Not if we play a two loss Va Tech team. And a Fla. St. team with Jimbo as HC would be interesting.

1st- Boise/TCU ain't getting invited to the Super- PERIOD. So those hoping for that matchup aint getting it.

2nd- I'd love a LSU/FSU Orange Bowl. Still possible right or is FSU out of ACC contention?

3rd- Bowl game IMO is for the players. I would imagine they would prefer Glendale first and Miami second. everywhere else- meh

If anyone thinks LSU is playing Boise/TCU, you are out of touch with the process. If LSU goes to the Sugar, the sugar will choose a Big 10 team. If LSU goes to the Orange, it will be the ACC champ. If Stanford loses their last game then LSU could go to the Rose Bowl against a Big 10 team. You can pretty much get TCU/Boise out of your head.

I still don't know who is "projecting" us to the Orange Bowl. ESPN says Sugar or Cotton?

I agree with this.

And all this as well.

ESPN is saying we will go to the Cotton cause they think we lose to ARKY. A one -loss LSU team will NOT go to the Cotton.

I honestly don't know how good Boise and TCU are, but I think it would be satisfying to put a beat down on high ranked non-AQ media darlings.

Why not? Hawaii was there a few years ago? (I assume you mean Sugar)

FSU is a high possibility and I would love to see that match up over a Ohio St. Sugar Bowl.

I wish it was possible for a Nebraska (assuming they could win the Big 12) vs. LSU Fiesta Bowl Matchup but it seems unlikely that the Orange Bowl will pass us up if we are an At-Large team.

CBS says we go to the Outback, with Auburn taking the BCS spot for the SEC. They assume Bama beats Auburn, then Auburn beats USC in Atlanta, a very likely scenario. Oregaon v. Boise for MNC?

I'm just kinda meh on these guys. Probably not justified though.

Now that would be nice to see. But I think Maryland and maybe someone else in that division has a leg up.

But its a NO-WIN situation for LSU. IF they win BIG. Well tehy were supposed to, If its close or they somehow LOSE, Thats MUCH worse.

Flights to Ft. Lauderdale is about $280 round trip right now from N.O. flying Southwest. Am thinking about going if we make it, but would rather go with the Rose Bowl, so I have a place to stay for free.

Exactly

The past BCS games against non-aq's has proved this.

Bama and Oklahoma were embarrassed when they lost, while Georgia was basically an after thought when they demolished Hawaii.

That's a good point. That's actually probably true for TCU, but I don't know about Boise. Boise has some street Cred IMO because they've put together several good seasons and beat BCS opponents in bowl games. I think we would get the benefit of the doubt by beating them.

Just got a text from my cousin in Pa saying the talk up there is that Penn State will possibly go to the Outback against LSU. I texted back that if that happened, 1. This year's LSU team would beat PSU and 2. If we win on Sat we are not going to the Outback.

The Sugar has been stuck with two mid-majors that were AQ (Utah, Hawaii) and the Big East Champion, Cincinnati. The Sugar wants two big time programs this year, and with the 1st pick, they will get it.

VaTech has clinched one division and it's between FSU and NCst for the other. Maryland is out, having lost to FSU last weekend. If the Terps beat NCSt this week, FSU goes to the ACC championship. If NCSt wins, they go. My guess would be that VPI would beat either one.

I'll worry about the match up with the ACC as and when it materializes. In the meantime, let's just beat the Hogs.

its still a possibility PJ if LSU beats Arky, unless AU is stays in the top 4.
