Absolutely nothing wrong with being conservative when you know your defense is elite.
I think the offense was leaning more towards looking like shite than playing conservative.

We’ll find out a lot in Oxford in a couple of weeks

Except for the fact that if the ref's don't make the correct call of Holding on a busted coverage TD, LSU is in a major hole.
Sure, people will argue the playcalling would have changed, but we never should have been in that position against a team that USF handled.
Conservative isn't always an issue, conservative when you are up by 3 scores is great. When you are only up by 10...You haven't ended the game.
Remember this is a coach who says his players don't know how to finish.
Behavior follows leadership, and the staff didn't have "finish" in the game plan for the offense.

He was dropping gifts. The gift that kept on giving.

Our best offensive player was the punter.
This is the saddest statement I've ever heard....
And actually our best offensive player was Lagaway

Was Nuss playing conservative when he threw that pick? I
Yea..thats my biggest gripe...literally nothing reason to toss that ball like that and we were about to nail the coffin shut

The problem is, it wasn't just a product of them being conservative and trying to hold on to a lead and win a game. LSU didn't manage a first down until their fourth drive.

Visually if you look at it on paper, yes you’re right. Realistically our 3-0 is ugly and problematic.

Nah, the entire offense was out of sync all game.
It was weird. Felt like Les Miles had enacted his revenge.
