But Bama did beat Va Tech by 25. LSU beat TCU by 10.

Virginia Tech sucks. TCU is good. No point whatsoever in even making this comparison.

And Georgia (575 yds) did way better against Clemson (476 yds) last week than we did earlier in the year (219 yds) against essentially the same Clemson team (445 yds).

Now you're comparing the first game of the season in which both teams have National Championship aspirations to the Chick fil a Bowl game? Wow.

Pretty fricking terrible post all around.

Two weeks of cupcakes should be just what the doctor ordered...offense can work on timing of routes, etc...defense just needs time and experience and a chance for Chief to get his LBs worked out...JMHO

I think it is a chink in the armor and will cost them. I do not think at this point bama is the best team in the SEC let alone the country
Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Bama had one of their worst offensive performances in recent memory and still won 35-10. The offense will come around. Once they destroy A & M, you may change your mind. There is a strong chance that come Nov.9th that LSU and Bama will be #'s 1-2 in the polls.

(1) UGA. They have a very potent offense. If our dline and LB play doesn't improve, they could score an abundance of points on us in Athens;

(2) Bama. Everyone is fixated on the average play of their offensive line, while entirely overlooking the fact that -- with the exception of one long run -- their defense was stifling yet again. Better than our defense, though our offense performed better in week one.

Finally, its hard to draw any meaningful conclusions from a single week. Neither Florida nor TAMU looked great, but those will still be formidable opponents.

Ole Miss looked better than i was expecting, Georgia will be tough, maybe even tougher if they win agaisnt CArolina, TAMU looked pretty good with Manziel at QB, and Bama will probably have their issues worked out when lsu plays them(though they looked pretty bad)

None of these conclusions can be drawn based on a single game, particularly the opening game of the season. Bama, in particular, will be Bama by the time it matters to us.

It's way too early to worry about this, but because u brought this up, Bama did not look good. LSU what red zone? Didn't look much difference from last year.

The last time LSU scored a touchdown in Tuscaloosa, it was with a senior class of players recruited and signed by Saban (2009).

What an absurd thing to say.

I watched the 2009 and 2011 games, and I can assure you that winning games is way fricking better than scoring touchdowns.

And the redshirt seniors of the 2009 team were partially recruited by Saban until he bailed at Christmas of 2004, before they signed. Somehow giving him credit for that team scoring touchdowns in 2009 is absurd.
