I love how all you guys get so defensive when someone decides they're not going to drink the kool-aid. You feel like you have to buy in to everything being spoon fed to you to feel like a real fan?
Newsflash - that attitude and $3k per seat will be the exact kind of fan LSU Athletic Dept wants filling up the stadium. If you can't do both, then $3K per seat will do just fine.

I'm not spoon fed anything. I am smart enough to realize we are loaded with talent, and have some of the top coaches in the country. We are in much better shape going into the season on defense and offense this year, and LAST YEAR WAS NOT TERRIBLE given we were rebuilding. I don't have to drink any kool-aid to realize we have a team very capable of doing VERY well this year. Will we? maybe, maybe not. But i damn sure am not going to be on here bashing the coaches/players and giving up all hope before the first damn game is played. I have more loyalty, more intelligence, and more optimism to do that. People like you suck. You thrive off of negativity. I just hope you have the balls to admit when you are wrong...but sadly, people like you don't.

So let's see, you start a thread, say nothing new, act like you know something you don't and then call me a douche. That's good stuff. Why exactly did you feel it was your calling to make sure everyone knows you're not buying the hype? I guess it's just not possible for a team to improve from year to year.

atrocious football and yet they were a muddy/slop field away from finishing in the top 10 for the year.... 
which would have been the 4th in five years for miles. Mother Nature did not cooperate....but LSU finished 17th in the nation. I've been a Tiger fan for about 30+ years now....I can assure you taht finish is probably in the top 10 during that thirty years of being an LSU fan....might now have been pretty.....but I look at results, not how smoothly a coach may talk, or other bs like that. End of the day, just win baby....and LES MILES has done that an awful lot at LSU...in fact, more than ANY other coach ever at LSU over the same period of time. Yeah, he sux...what a loser you are. Go jump on the bama bandwagon...or someone else. Don't need your kind of bs. Clueless idiots who know absolutely nithing about winning football.

Hopefully we win and if not I'll maybe get irritated and even disgusted for a few minutes then I'll move mentally. Why? Because the players are just teenagers and young adults hopefully enjoying a great opportunity.
My mentality is possible because I have life!

I see what you're saying. I would encourage you to read other sources like espn, or si. There you will find quite the opposite of what we read each summer about how "awesome" our team is going to be.

1. O-line will not have improved at all
2. JJ or JL has not improved at all (or gained any experience)
3. our running game will suck
4. our QB can't find an open WR
5. our coach will undoubtably make several clock mistakes again
6. RS will not touch the ball all year just like last year
7. our total offense will be ranked in three digits
8. etc., etc., etc.

oh yeah...you mean that very respectable woman who made a list of the top 20 teams with a chance for the title...lmao....yeah boy that was legit......and sports illustrated...yeah they ALWAYS get it right...lmao. The difference between me and you is that I don't believe everything I hear (good or bad) because I have a pretty damn good brain and have been following lsu closely for over 30 years. I thought they would be bad in 2008.....the world thought they would be great no matter what....this year I think they will be very good...the world thinks they will suck....I kind of like my chances. Kind of like the stock market...the time to buy is when things look the most bleak....never jump on when things look the best.

If I'm being honest, I admit I want to believe, I really do. But after seeing the last two years I am not willing to become emotionally involved in this football team. I will cheer them on, but I will maintain my judgment of this team and our coaching staff based on last years play. Until they show me something otherwise.
