The only satellite company with Cox Sports New Orleans is DISH. That's the station that has the football rebroadcast and a bunch of baseball and basketball games, plus the Hornets. Go to their website and put in your soon to be zip code to see if you can get it.

You're not going to be in very good shape. DirectTV is very good, doesn't go out very often (during bad weather). The only downside: You can't get local channels. Comcast and Dishnet have exclusive rights. It's a really stupid setup. Dishnet is good because you get local channels and the packages are cheaper, but the downside is it goes down a lot during bad weather. Comcast is expensive and just all around horrible. I think they have sudden link up here as well (West Monroe) and I hear pretty good things about them. As far as HD goes, DirectTV all the way. If you can do without local channels, or if you use a converter box with an antenna, I would say DirectTV. That's what I have.

I'm in West Monroe and I don't get local channels. It may just be Monroe/West Monroe. I'm really not sure.
