Uh actually I was referring more to Miles' constant PR campaign for Jefferson which I think probably had something to do with whom ESPN picked. Not to mention I would prefer to see someone who has actually performed well on the field representing LSU. I mean how many fans of opposing teams are laughing seeing one of the worst starting qb's in the country representing LSU.

How do you know it wasn't ESPN that called and asked for Jefferson since that's how those things usually go down? And who do you think we should be sending instead?

No Way! you turn them down! you send them a video clip of all of JJ's incompletions and say he is not worthy. You tell them to not televise your games because he is the QB..

Thats what you would have done right rudy?

They better be glad JJ is starting. If he gets replaced by Lee or Mett, look out, but JJ will start and be our starter for the whole season, barring injuries.........If Miles hasn't replaced him yet, Miles won't. The guy won 10 games last season........

It very possibly could have been ESPN like I said in the prior post I think Miles running PR campaign for Jefferson probably influenced who they chose. I would have love to have seen TREX, Baker, Ware,Randle or Taylor.

i cant wait to see what happens if JJ runs for a td and passes for 3 in the opener. give another td to ware and ford.

Again I wouldnt be surprised if JJ performs well in the opener that is his pattern give him 2 weeks or more to learn the gameplan and he can peform somewhat adequately. Unfortunately after that most of the games are a week apart.

make sure you leave some wiggle room for a BS excuse on why JJ did well.... GIVE HIM CREDIT!

If Miles and JJ lead us to Victory over Oregon, that is huge and they should be given huge credit.

Unless Trex has 2 pick 6's or something.

Why would Miles run a PR campaign for JJ?

Again I am looking at history. No wiggle room he has shown he can put up decent numbers if given 2 or more weeks. For Oregon he has months. I think he is JJ and after the Oregon game he only has 1 week in between the next games and we get the usual JJ. 8-21 -91yds, O TD's 1 INT 40 yards rushing

I just noticed something. 99% of your posts over the last few months have been about JJ....even in threads that had nothing to do with JJ. What is up with your obsession with the kid?

Who knows maybe trying to give him confidence???? Same campaign as last 2 years just amped up, JJ has improved his footwork, throwing the ball better, has a better grasp of the offense.

So when does the crying stop? If he plays well vs northwestern state? Is that really a better measuring stick than Oregon?

You don't even make sence.

Yeah, because ESPN and college football programs love to send a SO. CB that was a part time player last year, SR. LB no one's heard of, SO. RB that will be splitting carries, JR. WR that's as quiet as a mouse and a SR. S that no one's heard of OVER your 3 year starting SR QB. You'd be a brilliant marketing campaign head.

Uh lets see maybe if he would actually play well in most if not all the games next season. Last year he contributed in 4 of the 13 games is it too much to expect the LSU qb to contribute in most if not all the games?

What would have fixed everything last year? Miles used Lee & Jefferson brilliantly to win 11 games. With those two QBs he should have been coach of the fricking year. Lee look incredible at times in the 2 minute drill and then like a scared little school girl at other times. There was no quick fix last year and Mett won't be the quick fix this year. If #8 is starting at any point this year it means we're in trouble.

Actually after 2+ seasons of watching him I am obsessing for good qb play. You would think at LSU I wouldnt have to wait that long to see a decent qb.

I thought you were a fan of LSU since the 70's? What about all of those losing seasons?

Do you have any hair left? or are you really a teenager?

You actually think there is a chance for Mett to be anywhere near as bad as JJ was last year? They guy was in a qb battle with Aaron Murray for the starting job at UGA. There is no way in hell there would be any kind of battle between JJ and Murray. Murray would be the starter day 1 case closed.
