If you would have told me that we'd hit 8 HRs in the CWS and not one of them would be by Deichmann I would have thought you were lying. One one hand it's been tough to see him not get any but it's been great seeing everyone else step up, especially Pap.

A little extreme, but he IS due. Has he hit one since the regular season?
Who all needs to get a HR for the team to all get one in Omaha?
Offhand, I remember seeing (down the order):
Duplantis
Watson
Smith
Papierski
Slaughter
Jordan
That leasves Robertson, Freeman, and Deichmann.
Freeman's very unlikely (but so was Duplantis, so I thought), Kramer is possible. I'd have thought Deichmann would have one by now.
Hmmm, those 3 are the guys we had read stories on how they returned to lead this team to the title. Given how easy it is to find things on the internet, and how limited scouting might be during the playoffs, I wouldn't be surprised if other teams (Fla St, OSU, the regional opponents) didn't circle those as guys not to let beat you. Miss St and Florida obviously already knew about them.
