It's hard to find anything that shows breakdowns for QBs at 15 yards. Seems most charts you can find are 0-9, 10-19, 20+

Right. The 15 yard thing is an NFL stat. Pretty much all the college stats are 20+.
Here are some more college QB season stats from 2017 -
Sam Darnold 94
Lamar Jackson 72
Josh Rosen 46
JT Barrett 56
Darnold has about 35 more than the average that I see. He had 6.57 20+ passes per game.

Well how the hell are we supposed to look into your claim about more 15+ yard passes than anyone when we can't get data that measures it that way?

I think the national pundits are way too consumed with Burrow having a <50% completion percentage so far this year. We’ve played two top 10 ranked teams in the first 3 weeks and Joe has not even been on campus more than 3 months. Once he’s able to build chemistry, I think the passing game will be the strength of this team as it was advertised this past offseason.

I sincerely hope that is the most difficult problem we all face this week :)
But, I think we have shifted to the 20+ number that seems to be the college benchmark.

quote:if you take out the 2nd half against miami and slu, 50% of his completions are 10+ yards. that's against miami and auburn. pretty respectable.
Considering he's 77th in the country in yards per attempt (6.9), I'm going to assume he's not even in the top half of the list for number of throws over 15 yards.

Anyone seriously think JB hasn't thrown more than 11 in his 78 total attempts this season?
36-72
11 different receivers
515 yds
14 yd avg
19 completions over 10 yds

Good point! Would like to see a full breakdown of all LSU passing stats.
But, in this thread we've just been looking at long throws whether they are completed or not. Just passing attempts over-the-top, 20+ yards.
