Obviously we’ll all be seeing numerous opinions on who the next HC will/should be and all the candidates.

My question is not name-specific and more broad …would you prefer a HC with an offensive background or defensive background with our next hire or do you think it doesn’t matter if you find the right guy?

There’s obviously no right or wrong answer here, just curious what you guys offense or defense background preference would be

Doesn't matter as long as they have been a coordinator before and can completely lock down 1 side of the ball no matter how many coordinators from that same side of the ball leave. This would always lead to continuity on one side of the ball no matter who is there

honestly i’m fine with either. as long as it’s someone who has lots of experience scheming and calling one side of the ball and has a good idea of who to hire for the other side of the ball.

In this era of football I think you need offense hc. I would’ve preferred defensive hc until about 5-10 years ago. Spread and hurry up offenses changed the game.
