oh what the ---- who needs the forward pass anyway? defense, special teams, field position, and running the ball carried nebraska under dr tom osborne for years! i say even without a dominant passsing game this team with petersons return game, special defense and enough playmakers on offense can still have a "special" year! miles got us through the hurricane in 2005 and he can get us through gary crowton and the rest of this year!!

Those Nebraska teams had quarterbacks that could run the option effectively.

Fraizier? Havent seen the wishbone in forever, teams are too athletic now not to have a threat of the pass out of some of these run formations

It's 2010, not 1995 or earlier. We don't have Nebraska's Oline of those year. JJ isn't Tommy Frazier or even close. We play in the SEC not the Big 8. Any other reasons needed?

I'll take 400 yards on offense any way they can.

....KU, K-State, CU, Iowa St., Okie St, ....etc.....and then ONE game against OU..who also had no passing game.

If we could fully commit to the run like old Nebraska and Oklahoma or GT and put in that kind of personnel it would be better than our current scheme of nothing.

FML. Even Eric fricking Crouch, running the triple option, averaged 125 yds/game with 7 TDs and 10 INTs, coupled with 92.1 per on the ground and 18 TDs.

At this rate, JJ is on pace for 104/game, 6 TDs, and 12 INTs, to go with 22 yds/game and 3 TDs on the ground.
