Florida. Other than that, there are several starting QB's in the SEC that would be 4th string in the Big 12.

First of all, even if you do count RP, you have played 99% of your season with your backup and third string.

Bama, in 1991, went 11-1 with a third string QB

In spring the rotation was

Danny Woodson (sucked and got replaced by JB)
Brent White (Injured)
Jay Barker (Redshirt Freshman)

Can't lay it all on not being perpared, unless you want to lay it on the coach.

...?

Tebow's the only reason people can't just key in on the speedsters. I bet that if you stick a bad QB -- ie, any fourth-string QB -- on that Florida squad as the starter, the whole dynamic changes.

For starters, Tebow is still the only goal line threat worth mentioning. Demps and Rainey are good RBs, but Tebow is the only one big enough in their backfield to handle goal line duty, so they're either forced to pass into a 15x53 yard space with 11 defenders in the way or try to run against a wall of 11 defenders with inferior size.

And while you'll see any QB worth his while complete some nice throws because the speedsters are THAT good, the defensive coordinators won't be as hesitant to rush because the QB isn't a veteran with a fullback's build and a halfback's running ability.

I just don't see how even Florida could succeed with their fourth-string QB.

Coming from a guy who's fan base wanted to run off their QB a couple of years ago and now that same QB has them undefeated, I'd say I'm not going to take your opinion on our QB question very seriously.

BTW, we have played most of our season with our 3rd string starting if we date back to the spring. We are now on our 4th stringer.

There is no intelligence however in the parts from which you hail. You were no doubt one of the fans calling for JPW's head--now you are a QB expert? Thanks for playing.

we scored 20 + points in almost every game. if our defense played like the defense of the last several years we might have only lost 1 game this year. the other teams pass at will with nothing to stop them and our tackling has been terrible.also do we ever get to the qb on a blitz.it was rare.
