My thoughts...

I think that we have a coaching staff that is really afraid of ruining another quarterback with potential. That's exactly what happened last year. We threw a kid to the wolves and I'm not sure that Lee will ever recover. In an attempt to keep JJ from suffering the same fate the staff has tried to hide him. Hard to do that against Florida. So, when the kid HAS to make a play, he's really afraid to try. I don't think they give RS an opportunity because of what happened last year. It puts the staff and the players in a bad place.

I understand your point, but if so, why would any quarterback want to come to LSU then?

Sure, no freshmen QB should ever play as they will be ruined. Tell that to USC, Miami and Michigan. They seem to be doing just fine.

That's a scary question to answer I think!

I think LSU is a great program for QBs.

I'm not saying that NO freshmen should play. I'm saying that Lee wasn't ready. That's seems obvious. And he shouldn't have played. Now the staff doesn't want another young player who isn't ready to have his confidence broken. That's all...

Are quarterbacks on the bench learning NOT what to do!

I have a solution, put in JL since they think he'll transfer anyway.

I understand your point about practice and experience. But there is nothing that can prepare you for a game but playing. Jamarcus Russell is a great example. Horrible at first, but he eventually became one of the best (at LSU). It's gonna take time.

This very well could be the dumbest statement I've ever read on this board.

i don't think anybody is "ruined". yes, JL got the call to start last year and he lost his job when he threw a ton of interceptions. he's not ruined. JL was not really ready, but neither was JJ. that was what hatch was all about, remember? i beleive we have not seen the last of Mr. Lee.

How come our QBs and coaching staff have the most fragile psyches in all of college football? You won't win games by playing scared. Who cares if we throw an interception or two? Our offense hasn't shown us the ability to win any games for us this year anyway, so a few INTs won't kill us.
