I only know 2 things

1. The line isn't dominating

2. Unless the line is dominant, KW is a better option than Scott just because he is a more versatile runner.

How much worse can Shep be a year from now?

JJ hasnt done bad though. he hasnt lit up the opposing defense, but he has been effective and gotten it done. hes still improving. hes only played 5 1/2 games.

i dont think shep will ever start at QB. he will line up there a few times a game, but a majority of his PT will be at WR or RB.

Sure...the only problem is when we play a team that has athleticism that is on our level this type of QB play will lose games. And I mean lose as in not even in the game.

He'll have to make huge strides for us to even sniff a victory against a top 10 caliber team.

How can you say that? He's done what has been asked of him for the most part. He has completed a high percentage of passes along with not turning the ball over.

we'll see what happens. i think they are still sheltering him. they dont want to throw him the fire like they did with Lee.

and really, how many actual top 10 caliber teams do we play? florida is one. bama, uga, and ole miss havent exactly impressed.

I remember at one point in the second half he was 8/9

That sounded awesome until you realized that it was for less than 40 yards.

His YPC has to be pretty low

Then blame the playcalling, not him.

Maybe because the couple throws he actually did make down the field were way off the mark?

And maybe they're not asking him to throw down field is because they know it's not a strong point.

Maybe he's only capable of finding the check down guys and isn't making the right reads to push the ball down the field?

It's not like every passing play we ran had only short routes

He overthrew Chris Mitchell in the endzone which would have been an easy TD.

I'd say the underthrow to Lafell to start the game and when he overthrew Mitchell on an easy TD would be the two obvious ones.

That was a very easy throw for most starting QBs

You aren't going to get many chances like that even with our WRs

ah yeah I remember the Chris Mitchell one. He looked pretty damn good on that one in the GT game that got called back though. Yesterday would have been tough for a lot of guys to throw deep.

Well we're definitely looking at a 3 loss type season

As long as people are ok with that outcome then that's fine. But for those who are deluded enough to think that we'll be in the NC hunt it's time to wake up and realize that we're not where we need to be at the QB position.
