No. I think it should be decided here.

Can't we just let this be decided on November 5th

No because that wasn't the point of the original post. He said win or lose LSU is proven to be the best in all phases of the game. Therefore, the outcome on Nov. 5th does not relate to that particular point. Hence...a few that have taken exception to his comments.

"Are you ready to show your commitment to the team, Gary?"
I bought the DVD 5 years ago and still watch it all the time.

I know I have yet to contribute to the actual subject matter of the OP but I couldn't resist....

"From what I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.N.C.E has gathered, it would be 9/11 times 100."

"9/11 times a hundred? Jesus, that's..."

"Yes, 91,100."

I hate to be the one that brings actual stats into the conversation because I do believe that stats do not reveal the whole truth, but they can add some sense of direction to judging a team's body of work. That said... these stats are in regard to the team D debate that is going on. Yes Alabama is leading in most of the categories, but look at these numbers with regard to each team's schedules. Each of these numbers are national rank.

LSU:
Opp PassYrds RushYrds PointsF PointsA
Oregon 78 4 4 25
NW St* 120 120 120 120
Miss St 94 38 85 19
WVU 5 100 18 57
Ketucky 116 71 111 68
Florida 100 41 71 16
Tenn 35 115 76 54
Auburn 106 34 84 75
Avg 81.75 65.375 71.125 54.25

*FCS team, so I put default 120s. Not actually that bad in each category im sure. They actually score a lot of points from what Ive seen...

Bama:
Kent St 119 119 120 73
Penn St 84 50 89 5
N Texas 97 89 102 97
Arky 9 73 19 34
Florida 100 41 71 16
Vandy 111 57 80 33
OleMiss 107 107 104 79
Tenn 35 115 76 54
Avg 82.75 81.375 82.625 48.875

6 out of 8 of ours = Top 25 teams.

Not Northwestern State.
Not Kentucky.
Not Tennessee.

So 5 of 8.

So I'd say it's BAMA who's already proven they're the best team in the country in all phases of the game.

You forgot to calculate SOS.

LSU would not beat Bama 9 out of 10 games. The stuff on this board is getting ridiculous.
