My biggest problem with hiring Ensminger

I think Steve is a great coach for LSU and appreciate all of the work he has put in on this staff over the years. However, in this day and age of college football, kids, particularly on the offensive side of the ball, want to play for young and innovative coordinators who they can relate to while being recruited. SE seems like a stop gap because we couldn’t find anyone else to take the job. I don’t see how this promotion will help us on the field in 2018 or in recruiting in 2019.

Your concerns have been considered. LSU appreciates your input.

Yeah. We're LSU. Our head coach got the job promising to hire the very best coordinators in the business. . .
Man, who'd have known we had the very best OC in the whole country sitting on staff being woefully underutilized just coaching tight ends. And . . . that we could successfully retain him when every P5 program in the country was clamoring to get him.
When you look at the facts behind this whole thing, it becomes clearer and clearer that the Ole Miss tenure was not a fluke but an indicator. . .

I got a meeting with Alleva later today. I've added your comments to the agenda. Please wait for a response and reward for your contribution.

Kids don't look at this like you think they do. As long as the production on the field is happening that will sell itself. I understand what you are saying but I think people are going full retard and hey I get it. It's what Coach O promised.
To the other part of this which looks like the promotion of Sullivan and people are also going full retard on the promotion of a 70 year old position coach. Larry Fitzgerald, "Jerry Sullivan is the best position coach I have ever had!".
