With a total of 224 after the Vandy game, LSU has scored the most points of any SEC team EVER in the first four games of the season. Add to that the 42 against USU and the Tigers are sitting on 266 thus far this season.

I'm really loving this season so far!

I’d be willing to be it was 2007, we scored a ton that year and we played more games than any other season besides 2011

2007 would be right going back to the Dinardo era.

Here is the breakdown sorted by PPG.

THe current pace would obliterated 2007, I expect that to come back down but I suspect this team still could handily beat 2007 in scoring. It is not a given, however. depending on if the SEC championship game and how deep we go in the playoffs if we make it there. 13-15 games essentially so roughly speaking, the team averages 29-31 PPG and the new record is set

2019 - 5 Games - 259 points - 51.8 PPG

In order of PPG average, did not include defensive scores or kick/punt return scores though I did include extra points generated from thos scores.

2007 - 14 Games - 525 points - 37.5 PPG
2013 - 13 Games - 459 points - 35.31 PPG
2011 - 14 Games - 446 points - 31.86 PPG
2006 - 13 Games - 409 points - 31.46 PPG
2015 - 12 Games - 376 points - 31.33 PPG
2018 - 13 Games - 405 points - 31.15 PPG
2008 - 13 Games - 390 points - 30 PPG
2001 - 12 Games - 359 points - 29.92 PPG
2003 - 14 Games - 417 points - 29.79 PPG
1997 - 11 Games - 324 points - 29.45 PPG
1996 - 11 Games - 303 points - 27.55 PPG
2010 - 13 Games - 354 points - 27.23 PPG
2012 - 13 Games - 353 points - 27.15 PPG
