Losing to a Bama team that had no business being in that game was what sucked most about it.

Auburn did the SEC proud. The whole nation knows you have to be really good to beat the SEC Champion for the national crown; that was a great game!

I don't think anything is as painful as 21-0, I can't remember a loss I wanted to forget as quickly as that one.

21-0 is worse.

At least Auburn fans had some high moments during the game.

I loved (in a self pity sort of way) the 1-9 highlight real that shows the team amped in the tunnel, and then it just ended.

They were the best team in the country. The BCS worked.

Auburn wasn't that great this season. The great Florida State was exposed more than anything last night. They finally played a decent team.

Then, why did they lose to LSU at home?

Why bother arguing this on an LSU message board? They were not the best team in their conference or division.
Bama was given a chance to redeem themselves in a bowl game a month after the season ended, and LSU didn't bother getting off the bus.

Alabama got a second bite at the apple. I felt they didn't deserve it, that they had their shot in their home stadium a few weeks before.

But then Oklahoma State lost to a pathetic Iowa State team, so they didn't deserve it either.

We got screwed. But I'm not going to allow that to excuse 1/9.

Auburn got better during the season on both offense and defense, but Florida State was just a little better when it counted in the fourth quarter.

Because our defense were every bit as good or better than theirs, but was playing with one hand (the offense) tied behind their back. LSU's D gave it their all until the O's continuous 3 and outs and turnovers tired them out. One of the greatest D performances ever for LSU under the circumstances.

I'd rather see my favorite team score points in the championship game.

Honestly I would much rather lose in the closing drive. 21-0 was just embarrassing and in my opinion had a residual effect on recruiting.

It also would have been nice to lose to a non-conference opponent, rather than to our arch-rival that had no business being in that game.

There is no comparison really...

I have to disagree with you, no team- regardless who they are, has any business being in the championship game without winning their conference. The only thing that 1/9 proved, is that with enough time to prepare, any team can practice enough to win against a team that already beat them once. It did not prove in any way that the gumps were better.

I'll chime in and say the initial sting is worse, but the all-in pain has to be better than thinking we got humiliated.

Aubie loss is worse... we should have split the National Title w/ Bama in 2011.

How about three in a row with one of them being shutting out Alabama at home?

I refuse to answer a question that I would think most would answer to. BEING SHUTOUT is quite embarrassing.
