And the preseason number 2 player in the draft had an era of over 8. Stats don't mean shite.

Jones was effective when he pitched. Again stats don't mean shite.

How so? Ochinko played 1B and DH. I would think he made more starts there than anywhere else.

After the problems at 3b this year, you really want to go there?

Texas, they were the runner-up of the CWS and with a lot more returning. Their goal was to win it with that pitching staff, To lose at home while hosting is disappointing enough... LSU didn't have the dominating pitching we'd wished we had and we all knew that before the season started. Before the SEC tournament everyone in this room had doubts that LSU would win the tournament. With the umpiring LSU had against UC- Irvine game 2 I guess we will never know how far LSU could have really taken it because LSU was unpredictable this season and had a lot of fight in them.

Edward/Dozar/Delatte was much better at the plate this year than Helenihi was last year. In the field, not quite as good.....but then again Helenihi wasn't even the starting 3rd basemen most of last year.

UT and it ain't close. LSU didn't have the arms to compete. Yeah there is always preseason expectations, but reality is reality, and we just didn't have a Omaha pitching staff.

Dukke v, I am guessing you are a ranter. Pitching wins, not offense. If that was the case, then we would have won more, since you say we had more offense.

dude don't even go there....out of all the players we lost, who would have thunk helenihi was missed the most...poor 3rd base play cost us a shitton of runs this year

having both gets you wins....there are plenty of below average teams with good pitching and vice versa
