Money talks and bs walks….Power is where the money lies….

I along with many had an upset emotional response yesterday. Reflecting on my past 20 years at SEC campuses and the memories I made and how I grew up around the games lsu played at home and on the road.
But cool heads prevail always, emotion never wins…Money does…..
ESPN/Disney/Abc could inflict a lot of pain on the league if they hurt the product on the TV. They have more power than anyone in this.
Bama/uga/Sankey whoever can collude all they want, but nobody is bigger or messes with the TV deals.
End of story

I'll believe you. I think you're right on point when it's all said and done, even his butt hurt as sanky is. I can't imagine that the presidents of these universities would want to hurt their endowment funds. And what have you from the money that their athletic departments get from the TV rights?

The TV rights angle hasn't been brought up enough.

I did fantasize for a minute about having our own prime time CBS slot every weekend. But Disney won’t let that dolla bill walk, they KNOW we bring the views.

I would be curious to see how that all works out if LSU pulls the plug on the Private Equity deal.

It would be interesting to see someone test the waters of an individual schools sports streaming like longhorn network. If you had it on Amazon Prime for $4.99 a month I would be curious how it would go.
