Dr. Bob, i agree with your analysis. Except that water cannot be covered with water, unless water would covered with something not made entirely of water, say like water.in a water balloon, submerged in a bucket of water then technically the water would be covered in water, but the water would not be wet, the baloon would be.

Why can't water be covered in water?

Definition of water: The chemical compound of 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom.

Why couldn't one compound be located atop another?

Water can sometimes cover a surface and not wet the surface, but it is wetting the air.

Lol. Because the water on top of water would then form one.unit(the form not the measure) of water

just like I believe that just about any boys hs jv basketball team would go undefeated in womens' NCAA DI BBall.

You actually believe this?

You aren't very smart.

Probably should have qualified it by saying just about any decent sized public hs, or one of those rural areas that do nothing but play basketball, but yes, I believe this, and I'm actually pretty smart. I also believe there are guys playing pick up games at LSU, or just about any public gym, or on any military base that could do the same. Don't you think it's kind of telling of the athleticism of D1 womens Bball, that a major headline this week was that a, repeat "a"player dunked in a game? And that was from the #1 ranked team in the country.Jr. high aged boys are doing that on playgrounds all over the country. My point is not to slam the girls, just to iterate the wide gap in size, strength, and athletic ability between boys/men and girls/women. You must have a daughter that plays sports. That's not a slam either, my daughter was heavily involved in sports as a kid too. That's where I saw the most unrealistic assessment of athletic ability, among the parents.

I am 27 years old, married and don't have a single kid. I don't really even "support" women's athletics, by this I mean I don't pay to attend their events. Not a knock at all, I simply don't have the time and energy and it doesn't interest me as much as men's sports do.

With that being said to say any high school JV team could go undefeated in D1 women's college basketball is retarded. It is just WAY exaggerated. Could they maybe win some games? Probably. But, I don't think "any" JV high school basketball team in the country could beat the likes of Baylor, UCONN, or ND just because they have a few kids that can dunk.

Wasn't implying that dunking ability = bball skill, just an example of size and athleticism that would probably just about prevent any rebounds, drives to the basket, boxing out, positioning for rebounds, inbound plays, etc. A team that presses might even get a few shutouts. Oh yeah, there's also the issue of the smaller ball used by the girls, and the distance of their three point line. Just an entirely different level of competition/athleticism IMO.
