Her soccer career is over.
Good kickers are good kickers.

Agree. She wouldn't be trying out if she was 200lbs
she probably wouldnt be on the soccer team if she was 200 lbs either.

she's on the soccer team...its not like they're inviting the homecoming queen to come try out. if she can make field goals...whats the problem?
Has this ever happened in D1 football?

Dumb question:
Because men are naturally more athletic than women. Thus a woman's sucess in a man's sport is impressive.

don't know. don't particularly care either

Mo's hot, and seems like a great girl. But I'm not for this nonsense.
I agree with you. But Les has no choice. If he rejects her attempt out right he's a sexist. Best to just let her try and say she didn't make it.
shite let her kick a 50 yarder in the spring game and miss.

I am not entirely sure that football is described as a 'men's' sport. I agree that it is, in that only men play. But it isn't called "Men's Football"
Right so it might techinically be a unisex sport. I'm not sure, just trying to think outside teh box a little bit. A man would not be able to try out for 'Women's Volleyball' because nationwide there are Men's Volleyball teams.

She is the HC Queen.

yea it didn't work out to well for Colorado

Just curious. I have a hard time believing that a 140lb girl, as gifted as she is, can muster the same strength as your average 160-175lb kicker. I don't know about her accuracy to be fair, but I can't help but view this as some stunt until she proves she's really legit.

This.

But I still see his point.

If she is one of the 2 or 3 best (whatever number they keep for fg kickers) she makes the team. If not, she dont.

The girl can kick a soccer ball goal to goal. Thats having some serious leg.

This may actually be right.

I'll leave it alone. Given the small chance that I'll be in BR while she's still at LSU, I don't want to ruin my chances if she asks for my handle on TD.com

I don't see the big deal. I don't think they're wasting a scholly on her since she is trying to walk-on. And its not like she is actually going to take the starting job from Wing, Hairston or Alleman.
Let her try out and if she makes the cut let her get some attempts during the Towson and/or Idaho.

Can Mo Isom kick a 45+ yard FG without pressure? I mean, is her leg strong enough? If she can't do that without pressure, then I highly doubt she'll do it under pressure. I think she's just wasting her time.
