How much better suited for the Mike Leach air raid is LSU now than a year ago?

Obviously last year was an abomination and ultimately led to Bo Pelini getting fired. Now we’ve seen early season issues work themselves out as the defense is starting to look pretty solid. There have been a few busts, but there is plenty to be encouraged by. The defensive line is a force and the secondary is full of ball hawks.

That said, how do we feel about this weekend’s matchup and how much better prepared are we this time around?

I expect us to rush 4 and play a lot of zone to try an keep everything in front of us. I think we will give up 350-400 yards in the air, but try to limit them to FG’s and not TD’s

Stingley didn't play against them last year. I like our chances.

Defense gave up 623 yards last year…how much would Stingley of actually helped. Maybe limit them to 560 yards? Still way to many yards given up

Hopefully, we get Jay Ward back for some stability back there at safety. Our D-line should be able to get better pressure on their QB this year compared to last year as well, so that should help. Their QB had 67 attempts against Memphis. Pretty ridiculous. They almost never run and are dead last in the nation in rushing yards per game.
