Another attention whore trying to get the flute player to join in bashing Miles.
quote:

Miles, what are you trying to say
“I think Charles Scott is on a probable list,” Miles said. “Whether it’s probably or probably not is the question. We’re optimistic, but I think I might be too optimistic.”

We've got sling blade for a head coach. Communication skills are a coach's best friend, and he has NONE!

Tiger n Atl, Devils Advocate, and Nimblecat Yall all have got it right, and those are 3 great posts! Hell, I'm still laughing! I think Miles could be a stand up comic, without even having to come up with material. All he has to do is just try to talk and attempt to form coherent sentences, and he will bring the house down!

And along those same lines, back in the late 70's, early 80's there was a comedian who wore a bag over his head, and he was known as the unknown comic. He was really pretty funny actually. Anyway, I think we could call Les either the "Unintentional Comic", or the "Overpaid Comic"! Either way, Miles is definitely a graduate of the Chuckles the Clown school of coaching!

I get that some of you like Miles, but I don't understand how anyone can defend his public communication skills.

He's not trying to communicate anything though. He's just jerkin the chain of some shlub media person. It's pretty hilarious actually. At least he's not just a straigh out dick like Saban was.

I'd rather have someone who is damn good at their job and gets it done probably better than anyone else in the country, but still is somewhat of a jerk, than someone who is supposedly a "nice guy", but is a complete dumbass clodhopping overpaid run a program into the ground type of coach, anyday!

If you really want to get banned, by all means keep calling our head coach names behind the safety of your computer monitor.

Grow up, your routine is old and boring.

So, Tom Brady being on the injured list every week by the Patriots is not gamesmanship? Who questions Bellichik's constant injury roster? People have come to expect it.

I appreciate Coach Miles not giving away his hand before he absolutely has to.

Seriously, Miles is having a hack at the press. I think sometimes he doesn't know when to turn it off, and you get the crazy halftime interview. But I don't believe that he talks like this outside of his Media Personna.

WHY would any coach blatantly give away the roster if he doesn't have to? Scott's status will remain unknown until game week. Advantage LSU.

R-kansas wishes he couldn't run a 2-minute offense. And BTW, we ran a pretty damn good 2-minute offense against Georgia and Ole Miss (prior to the final drive). Also, Florida '97 wants their lingerie back from the last two minutes of that game. TN '96 too, and Arizona State, and Alabama '96. Should I continue?

Yes -- he over does it --- but the message seems pretty clear to me --- He wants Scott to play and Scott might be able to play, but it is far from a certainty and the next 2 - 3 weeks will tell.

Would people that seem to hate him now really LIKE him if he said today, "Scott injury will prevent him from playing, Williams is out too, so we'll only have the 3 we had for the ARK game - that's it".

Really - why be so definite about it and let PSU plan that way only.... besides will PSU's DC actually coach it differently IF Scott plays than they would if he doesn't?

I don't think it matters to them... they coach to beat our pathetic run blocking and they will probably succeed at that. So, can we beat them with the pass --- that's the question IMHO.

Was he as funny as he was successful against Arkansas?

I think so, good job pointing it out
