I think to have the honor of being the head football coach at LSU a coach should be able to win the SEC Championship one out of every four years. With that being said, he has earned three more years. Just don't wanna see the program get back to where we hope for Shreveport Bowl Bids. Although, the first game up there against Saban and his Spartans was a great time.

Good call simplemaaan. That was the first bowl game I ever attended!

It always freezing when LSU plays in the Independence bowl. It snowed a little in '97 when we played Notre Dame.

I attended the '97 Indy Bowl. When it started snowing early on, I knew anything could happen. My father in law said, "We're gonna kick NDs butt." He was right.

Eddie Kennison put on a show against Saban's boys when i went. That was when we could return kicks and punts.

Please just get off the computer. Are you serious dude? My God please look at what the man has done the past 3 years. This is ONE bad year. If he has several then ok...but this is ONE. Can you say REALITY CHECK!

what are you suggesting? Fire a guy his first down year with the QB fiasco we have had? We knew when he made the decision to kick out Perriloux, which was the right thing to do, that we were risking a year exactly like we got.

Yeah, except he didn't play for LSU that year. Kevin Faulk looked pretty good on KR's, though, but so did D. Mason.

How bout this for a reality chk. If he doesn't hire a new DC and next years performance on D is the same or worse than this season...and the man is making $3.75M for producing garbage, what do you think?

He will get at least three more years. I am not gonna argue the point. Just my opinion. But we must be playing in the top five by 2011 or he is in trouble. But opinions are like you know whats, everyone has them.

eddie K. did play against the Sparties my brother. Check your history.

Dude I agree we need new leadership on D, but that doesn't mean we all need to just tank on Miles. With the success he has had here, I give him the benefit of the doubt for at least 3 more years.

I totally agree with this statement. Too much money is being spent on him to settle for less. All programs have years like this, is all I'm sayin'.

If the pgm is spiraling downward, I don't think he gets 3. Building prgms back up is not easy, even those that were once powerful and great for a long time, e.g. NEBRASKA.

That's what I said.
Three more years. No win in Atlanta, see ya coach Miles.

The day after the Arkansas game, the powers that be need to ask him flat out- will you be hiring a defensive coordinator from outside the program.
If he says no, then there's no point in further wasting his time or the University's. Write him his buyout check and let both parties move on.

Well most aren't tanking and neither am I. Just commenting on the statement that he earned it b/c of his last 3. I just don't think that's accurate. I do believe he'll hire a new DC and will get at least 3 more yrs b/c he won't have another season like this one. BUT if next yr sucks like this one or is worse, and if there's no confidence that he can right the ship, then no way he gets 2 more yrs. That would cause too much damage to the program.
