It feels like a lot of people are ready to bail on our team and coach. Your right, 2 losses will probably never win another national championship but is 10-2 really mediocrity? There are teams out there who would kill to go 6-6. I know we have extremely high expectations but we have to give the staff credit for what they have done thus far.

Will people just stop with the Miles is a great coach crap and admit that you have not felt comfortable with him since the day he got here. Don't give me this BS about how he has won a NC b/c frankly, he inherited a great team and great players and the keys to a Cadillac much like Barry Switzer. It didn't take Switzer a long time to "F" that up and now Miles has done the same.
Think about it, Saban inherited a crappy BAMA team 3 years ago, and I mean crappy!!! Saban is now 2 of 3 against Miles. Miles is supposed to be driving the Cadillac?
This makes a lot of sense.
Just because no one can figure out who would be hired with Miles gone doesn't mean that Miles should be kept.
No one had any idea that Saban was interested in LSU. Remember, his agent contacted us during the search process.
There may very well be someone else out there who we would least suspect would have interest in leaving where he is to come to LSU.

Les Miles=Great coach, class and integrity
Nick Saban= Great coach, no class, no integrity
W4LSU= Tool, should move to Bama, would fit right in

the way i see it, i'll take averaging 10-2 FOREVER!!! because it means that some years we'll slip up and go 8-4. and some years we'll slip up and go 12-0...

I'm comfortable with saying that Miles is not an elite coach.
I don't think he's bad, but he isn't a top 5 (and probably not top 10) coach in the country.
A "good" coach at LSU will get us a 9-3 season every year on average - some years we'll go 7-5; some years we'll go 10-2.

Miles has proven his worth at LSU... BTW he just moved past Saban in wins...
Saban 5 years with a dead in the water program that he built
Miles with a well oiled machine in the same 5 years.
Miles is not a bad coach, but he is no Saban. I can speak like this b/c I am talking about a former LSU coach not just the BAMA coach.
