Would you all rather win the way Nick Saban does (cars, steroids, academic fraud, paying players, putting his people in places that work it for Bama [SEC, NCAA], and send spies to watch the other team prepare for the NC)and destroying his players in the process? Is this what you want?

But that is not the stated goal of the head of athletics at LSU. That is the bigger problem.

RECRUITING is his strength..that has won a lot of games, not player development.

Shhhh. Don't want NCAA president Mark Emmert seeing this.

Is there a link to the best tenures? We're barely in the top 5 of the last ten years - what makes you think its to 25 all time, when coaches used to last longer? And try to factor in that teams now play 3-4 patsies and 12 games, not 10 or 11 like in previous years with only one or maybe 2 easy games.
I'm sure you can come up with 25 off the top of your head. Go for it.

You think LSU doesn't juice players? Yeah, it's the diet plan and workout regime that puts 30-40lbs on a kid over the summer. Maybe the players poor decisions and lethargic attitude are from smoking pot. Oh wait, Les's players don't partake in illegal drugs, they just sell it after they graduate.

Just to give the rant a bit of perspective. When you bitch about Les Miles, you're bitching about one of the 25 best coach/school marriages of all time.

I agree, I am a big Miles homer for sure.
But he has to change with the times and stay on top of his game or he will just be a memory at LSU.

So nobody can come up with 25 coaching tenures that are better than Les at LSU. I was being selling it long with 25 by the way.

And Dan Mullen is one of the best coaches in MSU history. I don't think they should keep him either though. Both teams are plateauing, and you have to strive to be the best

The problem for Miles is that he was preceded by one of CFB's greatest coaches of all time, who is now at a rival SEC West school and establishing the only true dynasty to exist during the BCS era.

One of the best tenures in the history of college football vs. one of the five best coaching tenures of the least successful public school in SEC history. Great comparison.

This is more of a problem with the fans and their incredible envy.

Why is that? Why was his tenure at Oklahoma State not as good? Did he just figure out how to coach really well when he got to LSU?

Doesn't matter how you want to spin or not. People don't like losing. He continues to plague us with bad coaching decisions. That is the real issue. Yes, we are one of the best teams in the country but we don't play like it, week in and week out. I just can't sit here and blame it on assistants when we continue to sputter along. If people don't like this it is because the believe that "everyone deserves a trophy no matter what." This is LSU.......we want and deserve championships not excuses.....that is not sunshine....
