Everyone needed a kick in the arse, boosters and administration included. Hopefully the later learned you either have to support a guy 100% or fire him, anything else and you get what we've seen the last few years. Our latest hires seem to indicate everyone is all in, and that's a very good thing.

Maybe the way last season ended was the kick in the arse he needed?

Honestly, I think this is what happened. Miles knew he was fired going into the Texas A&M game. shite happened and here we are this year. I honestly believe after the A&M game, Miles ended up meeting with everyone in control of the athletic dept and big donors and there was a "Come to Jesus" meeting.

I believe Miles knows this is his last chance and he's going to do what's necessary to adjust to today's game and to make a change to his philosophy. Everyone and their mother knows that if Miles fricks it up this season and continues with his philosophy that we all have known and loved, he's done. I think Miles knows that and we will see some serious change. Because, bottom line, if he doesn't, he's finished at LSU

The season was going great until injuries pulled the magic away.

Can Cam hold up his end of the bargain ?

i'm still not sold on CC. our offense, for the most part, has looked shakey and non-coordinated with mistakes made by multiple players. yes, an inexperienced QB can be a big part of that. but, imo, w/o Mett CC has a mediocre LSU resume'. we could have won the SEC in '13 if not for Chavis lousy defense; that's the year he and Bricks lousy recruiting came hhome to roost. BUT, w/o Mett, Landry and OBJ CC has accomplished little, imo.

there's nothing i'd like to see more than a smooth running offense this year. we'll probably make the play offs if it happens. if it's the same ole stutter, stutter, i'm not blaming Miles. his offense coaching staff would be to blame.

Agreed. Special Teams and the passing game were the Achilles Heel of this team. He went out and got new coordinators who could improve those areas right away.

" brilliant"

It's amazing to me that supposedly smart college football fans want to turn the game over to a quarterback one year out of high school with a 50% completion rate rather than a Heisman trophy type running back.

But yet, the same fans see the coaching staff ias dumb. lol

Open this muth effer up and turn the dawgs loose. We got weapons. TURN them lose. Light the scoreboard up. Use every position to humiliate folk. USE the QBs and WRs more in the run game i.e. Zone and jet sweep. We are dangerous beyond LF7. Let's act like it.

I think most fans would like the head coach to recruit and develop at least a mediocre QB rather than having to solely rely on a Heisman caliber player. Because when you put all your chickens in that basket, the 2015 season happens.

I would think that supposedly smart college football fans understand that as well.

Okay Roger79. You vow to watch none of the season, and if things are 'okay' with you, we will wake you up at the end of November.

Enjoy watching sitcoms and stupid drama series. We will 'suffer' through football without you. It will be tough, but somehow we will manage.

50% ??? Who are talking about?

Point is you can't put all on LF7. That's been proven

"" A mediocre QB rather than having to solely rely on a Heisman caliber player"

I can't disagree with that.

Unfortunately, that's not the point. We had on the team what we had on the team and that was a quarterback 1 yr removed from HS with a low completion rate and a Heisman trophy type running back in a power running attack. In that situation it seems that relying on your running game is a fairly reasonable thing to do.

It also seems to me that smart football fans could appreciate that, but each to our own.

This thread is about Miles having a terrific off season. And it was clearly.
1.Who else got the caliber of a coordinator as Aranda?
2. Who else had more draft eligible players return?
3.Who else had a top 3 recruiting class and almost completely closed the gate around their state?
4. What coach got their diector of player personnel back from a school like USC?

11 downvotes for this?

I will admit I'm not a fan of Cam at all. His offense is a hard offense to master and I don't believe it's conducive to the college game. There is too much of a learning curve for young qb's.

It worked just fine in 2013. If we can get that type of offensive production this year with improved defense, we'll be a dangerous team.

Do you guys really think it's a coincidence that the Baltimore Ravens fired cam Cameron & then ended up winning the super bowl 8 weeks later?

Some of you Cam Cameron supporters need to take those purple & gold shades off to come back to reality. The dude owns a 1-15 record in his only season as a head coach and has shown absolutely no ability to develop a QB on the college level thus far.

Les is 3 losses from getting fired, and you think he needs an extension?

Les had a great offseason, it was excited. He still has to perform during these season for anyone to have confidence in him.

CC getting fired from the Ravens had more to do with Flacco not liking him than his coaching ability.
