I actually take that back. You were pretty reasonable earlier in this thread a couple pages ago. It should have been Cpt.

Interesting stat, sign of a good team. I am not knocking Les as a coach, and I am not knocking the anger being directed at him on this board.

What is also interesting to me, is the fact that people do not understand the consequence of hateful and negative projection out into the world.

What you see with your eyes is only a projection of what is in your mind, similar to a dream. All you have to do is recognize that you are the dreamer, and change what you project out, and your nightmares can be transformed into happy dreams. True story.

99% will dismiss this post as stupidity, but maybe 1 or 2 people will get it.

5 SEC coaches have better conference records than Miles since 2008.

You lose.

Apples and oranges. Let's see how they all do after 10 years in the SEC. I'm guessing only one will be ahead of Miles.

Nope. This thread is a defense of a coach, not LSU. Therefore it's more accurate to compare coaches to coaches.

And as a coach, Miles is number 6 (ish) in the SEC record wise since 2008.

Pump away.

And it's not accurate to compare Malzhan's year and a half to Miles 10 years. I wouldn't expect you to get that gaping hole in your cute stats though.

Why not make you stats even less irrelevant? Let's go with Miles is the worst SEC coach over the last two games. It carries just as much weight as your stat.

I dont care about some arbitrary time line. From the time Les miles was hired at LSU, he is one of the winningest coaches in sec history. Deal with it posters. Miles is the most successful coach lsu has ever had.

We were still in it up until losing to Bama, but don't let facts get in the way.

Even if we beat Bama we would have needed an utter collapse of the SEC West to be in it.

Face it... Miles had a nice little run but juice is gone. His shtick is stale and he is getting old. I think even sunshine pumpers know this deep down but are in denial. Miles is getting tired and his "goofyness" does not play that well when team is losing and looking ugly in wins. There is no direction on the sidelines during the games and he seems unengaged and more like an observer to me when he should be leading both verbally with players and officials and with his bodily communication. Eating grass and then staring up at replay screens after each play is not demonstrating much leadership during the games.

Don't have time to continue but playcalling, schemes, improvements, adjustments, clock management, player development, and communication ability are also areas that need drastic improvement.

Les... bless his heart... is not going to be able to get all this fixed and change his habits so as to evolve with the best coaches in the game. It aint gonna happen. If you are happy with being average to above average now and then...he is your man. No Nattys though... not with Les.

You mean like the one that's happened? Had we handled our business the past two weeks, we'd be in great shape.

Yep he sure is.

And he is now on the down side of his career, but yall keep clamoring for Miles to spend another 10 years here an eventually itll get bad enough for the idiots to realize whats going on.

And this fact alone is what makes those two losses more painful....indefensible.....and inexcusable.

What if we frame it as finishing 4th? If yall want to go one extreme, why can't the other be just as big of a possibility?

Did we not all know this year was not a year we were going to realistically compete for the West? Why is it now so shocking when those predictions have come true?
