Idiots, the point with the low ranking isn't to say its Les's fault, it's just to show how difficult it is to recruit there. He went from a Mercedes in LSU to a Yugo in Kansas.

Can’t wait to see his offense. Curious which staff members will be kept and who he will add.

Kansas hired one of the most accomplished coaches in sec history.

A 5 win season will be the best season in almost a decade.

Our offense was above average in 06,07,11,13,15.

Must be an LSU problem, not a Miles problem, because the guy running the show now can't field one either. Matter of fact, the offense has taken a step back since Miles was let go.

Did they have problems at LSU on offense when Les Miles was coach?....i don't know, I don't think theres been enough made of it... Obvious sarcasm... I bet the posts on this site are still prolly 30% miles and the offense and he hasn't been coach in years. My God how much can be said about the same subject

Actually he's well above avg at LSU.
Miles has 4/5 top scoring offenses in LSU history according to the LSU Media Guide records section.
For comparison thus far, Orgeron needed 7 OTs just to surpass 2009, Miles worst offense.

I think they are happy with Les. He is a high profile hire for Kansas and has positive name recognition which will definitely help Kansas recruiting in the near future.

I want to point one thing out which is interesting. In Les' 1st recruiting class at KU he has an abundance of scholarships to give but somehow Lowell
Narcisse is not in this class for KU.
Interesting by his absence.

Let's see. Hmmm?

Do you think that maybe our offense possibly reflects the caliber of Defenses we faced in this year's schedule?

Bama, UGA, UF, Mississippi State, A&M and Auburn all had talented Defenses.

Offensive productivity might just reflect the caliber of the defenses a given team actually plays. This is why ranking teams by productivity is a sham because of the disparity in schedules.

Playing one of the toughest schedules in the nation; with a transfer QB who had maybe 6 weeks in the LSU program; a beat up and thin OL; and no premier RB for the 1st time in a long time might have had an impact on offensive productivity?

Hmmm?

Man I miss the old days when Miles was coach and SEC defenses weren’t “talented”

You mean in Miles last year (4 games) when his love affair with Brandon Harris (like so many Rantards) cost LSU the game vs. Wisconsin? How about that great game vs. Auburn which left LSU at 2-2?

Oh yeah, those days.

You obviously have no idea how recruiting works. Recruiting was finished before he was even hired. Similar to when he was hired at LSU. His recruiting class was ranked 22 and that was because he was able to swing Ryan Perilloux. Afterwards, he was consistently in the top 10.

Kansas averages a top 60 class. He will have them recruiting back in that range the next two years.

Well, let's see rob. Hmmm?

Are you suggesting that LSU never faced tough defenses or had difficult schedules while Miles was the head coach?

The rest of your post sounds like excuses made up to make sure o doesn't have to answer for having one of the worse offenses this program has had in a decade.

Hmmm?

Well gosh rob. You seem to have all the answers. Who would you have played at QB against Wisconsin to start the 2016 season?

Would it had been Harris. A junior who had been in the program his entire time in college. And who had led the 2015 team to a 9-3 record and led an offense that finished 2015 ranked 39th in college ball. Or Etling. A guy who hadn't played a down of football in a real game in damn near two years, and a guy who had injured his back ( reported to be peripheral neuropathy) about a week before the game. or perhaps you would have played one of the true freshmen QB's.

How about those great games against Mississippi State and Troy in 2017?

Oh yeah, those days.

Well rob, in case you hadn't noticed, these days aren't any better than those days. Matter of fact. a case could be made that these days are worse than those days.

And just a reminder rob. it was Miles that benched Harris after the first quarter of the Jacksonville State game a week after the Wisconsin loss. And it was Miles who started Etling at QB during the 2016 Mississippi State and Auburn games.

Kinda blows your "love affair" comment out of the water.
