Any body have any idea what ever became of him? Did he play professionally at all? I know he was a pretty good hitter on the '96 team which of course had a lot of them.

Don't really know myself what happened to him, but my dad and I have always held the position he was the most underrated and under-appreciated player on those teams.
He was one of 3 Tigers in the 97 team with 20+ home runs and was probably one of the best fielders we had. Tremendous player who always came through for us.

Wow, I haven't heard his name in forever. I forgot about him.
I'd imagine he didn't pan out, like 90% of college baseball players who get drafted.
He was a damn good tiger tho.

.352 22 HR 69 RBI 72 RUNS 18 2B .674 SLUGGING % 17-21 SB
thats pretty awesome...that slugging % was actually 2nd on the team behind Larson

Every time I saw Koerner, I thought he was Superman! Looked just like Dean Cain.

I had to bump this. There's a guy calling the Seton Hall/SJU big east c'ship on ESPNU named Mike Koerner. Surely that is him (hasn't shown his face nor started asking about his former days)...but Koerner is from New Jersey. Perhaps this is him. Anyone else know?
