Right now it doesn't matter who the hell LSU plays. It's an almost guaranteed loss playing a team with a comparable record unless some dramatic things happen before the game, which I don't see happening either. BTW

Just Ga Tech.

FWIW, the speculation at Maryland is that the loser of the ACC title game (FSU or VaTech) likely ends up in the Peach Bowl and that the Gator Bowl wants Ga Tech very much.

Not much chance of LSU drawing the Terps as they're likely headed to Boise for the blue turf or opting out of the ACC matchups and taking a chance on getting an at large to Houston, Shreveport, or Birminghman. That would be LSU's best matchup, although one that would divide me against my kids.

I think LSU also matches up reasonably well against FSU and VaTech. It's hard to know about GaTech. They've played very well the last few weeks, but they've struggled at times as well. We'd have to sell out to stop the run and play more disciplined defense than it seems we've played this year.

I think with better schemes and agressive defensive coaching, LSU beats anybody in the ACC. But with that logic we might only have two loses.

How dare you actually think about a scheme and defensive plan to try and beat a team. If that were the case this season wouldn't even be an issue.

Even if UNC is a good team, I just cant get jazzed about LSU playing them. It's a lose-lose game for LSU.

McNeese took them to the 4th and practically whipped them in the trenches, i know it was early in the season and they have gotten alot better but still

It's gonna be Ga Tech and LSU. The state of Georgia wants another piece of LSU.

Of all our potential bowl opponents, FSU and Memphis are about the only two that might possibly score less than 30 points on us. I said POSSIBLY.

Id rather Fl. St. simply because Elmer Fudd and his two stooges would not have enough brain power combined to figure out how to stop the triple option of Ga. Tech.

he said we will play fla st or ga tech in the peach bowl

I've read the Gator Bowl is looking to take FSU and the Peach is looking to take Ga. Tech. Botton line is these bowls will have trouble selling tickets if FSU goes to Atlanta and GT goes to Jax; however, if its the other way around, both bowls will draw well from the ACC teams and they won't have to worry as much about whether their opponents will travel well.

FSU sounds good. And we might get lucky, a few FSU players could be back in jail.

The only good thing about playing GTech in a bowl game is having an entire month to prepare for the option. What makes GT so difficult to play is that most teams only have less than a week of practice to prepare for a style of offense which you never see throughout the season. However, with two/three full weeks to prepare for a completely one deminsional offense, we should have no problem shutting them down in a bowl game.
