I know this was already discussed on draft day but the Titans management must be a bunch of complete morons. Mariota is going to be the next in the line of gimmick offense QB's that don't pan out and they'll be back at square one minus $30m. Should've just traded down and taken a good supporting cast because, IMO, there would've been a much better chance of Mett turning out to be an above average QB if they would've built their line and defense a bit than Mariota taking their current shite players to the promised land by himself

QB is the most important position in the NFL, thus the pick. You start with a solid QB then build around him. Mariotta has the potential to be a franchise QB.

But they already addressed that position. They had other more pressing needs. They don't have the luxury of a change of pace wildcat QB.

Mett will make a damn good backup QB with many years in the leaugue/. But you have to have a franchise QB tin reach the Super Bowl. Mariota maybe is the answer. No one really knows if he will become one or not. Got to grab him and take that chance.
The thing with Mett to me is he isn't clutch.'How many times did he lead the Tigers to game winning drives?

When you make the decision to draft a QB with the #2 pick, u dont worry about appeasing the other QB's.
Too many careers tied to Mariotta here, Mett is is the odd man out.
The writing is on the wall. This is another of example of life is not always fair. Mett knows this isnt a fair fight, it just sounds alot better than trade me.

Mett played well and deserves better but a talent like Mariotta doesnt fall to u very often, either.

Titans made a decision, only time will tell if its the correct one.

Everyone is acting like Mett has been in the nfl for 5 years and haven't accomplished anything. If you would apply the same conversation to Mett as you are to mariotta build receivers and line Mett could be a great Qb.

I don't know about not being clutch. But to me what makes him only a backup in the NFL is his lack of athletic ability. Like someone else said, Mett looks like he is playing with concrete blocks attached to his feet or a just born baby deer trying to stand and find his legs. Mett makes Tom Brady look like a great athlete. Mett has all the other NFL QB traits, good size, great arm, good accuracy, makes the reads, good timing with the recievers that I think he can still have a good long NFL career as a solid backup .
