Mettenberger doesn't get enough credit.

Look at this chart that shows his 3rd Down production against Nick Saban and Gary Patterson.

You know you just picked his two best games and threw out the stats right.

That being said I think this is the kind of performance we can expect from him going forward as long as the OL stays healthy.

Yet, Mettenberger is a combined 17 of 31 passing on third-down with no turnovers and only 2 sacks against Nick Saban (2012) and Gary Patterson.

As long as the line stays solid like they were this Mett is here to stay

he looked poised and calm in the pocket. You could see right away how much Cam has helped him

Red-zone efficiency needs to improve but he looks like he has learned something from CC.

But it's hard to ask for much more and not be nit picking.

Not just game performance either. OC can only teach. Mett had to work hard during offseason. His footwork setup to throw, footwork navigating pocket and obviously a half step or so faster and a little quicker showed clearly his work ethic. His situational awareness was greatly improved. I had doubts from the time he came aboard. But his dedication to punish himself to improve physical and mentally has made me a believer even though it's only one game.
