Giants will need another pass rusher bc they supposed to be letting Osi walk

Yep. Maybe the Saints go for Osi and not keep Smith.

There's a reason Mel Kiper works for ESPN and isnt paid the real money by NFL teams.

+1 I've said this for a while, at least regarding his NFL future

I think Mingo and Montgomery are givens, and Minter's year may make him worthy of a late 1st choice.

As far as 5 in round 1, I assume you mean Reid would be a possibility, but who else would even be close to being a 1st?

By the way, 4 in round 1 is pretty impressive, even Bama missed on 5 last year with Upshaw going 35 and that was as good a group of potential #1s as I have ever seen.

I think Logan is the other potential 1st rounder. Some LSU fans were a bit down on here this year, but his "down" year was a direct result of not playing next to Michael Brockers. It affected Mingo and Montgomery too. Brockers--and more importantly, his loss--were greatly underappreciated by a lot of LSU fans.

Simon stepped up when he had to. Probably wouldn't have won the Texas A&M game without him. Few more games on top of that

Note to self, whodidthat is one of the few on here who knows his shite.

Simon looked pretty awful at times this year. In some games, the other team seemed to prefer passing the ball too his man. It was as if they saw a match-up they liked.

They threw to Simon's man for two reasons. One, we often matched him up with a stud, or else with the number two guy with lone safety help on the other side. And two, because Mills is friggin stud. Simon had a very good year for LSU. So did Eric Reid btw. Simon never had the talent that Mo had, so if you went into this year expecting that, I can see why you'd be disappointed. He was a second team All-SEC talent, and he played that way this year.

I'm not as high on Sam as some are. I think the LSU guys who have a chance to become household names in the NFL, in order of likelihood are:

1) Mathieu
1B) Mingo
3) Minter
4) Ware
5) Reid

Which 5-8 NFL DB (that got kicked out of school) do you think he most compares to?

The other 5'8 DBs that were in new York for the heisman as a true sophomore.

6 weeks ago I predicted Minter would go pro and go in the first round and 5 or 6 of the ranters attacked me calling me every name in the book. I made a bet with one that if Minter went in the first round he would quit posting and visa versa!

Chase Daniel was a Heisman Trophy finalist, too.

TM will blow up the combine. There is a reason the kid was so good. He has it all hips, speed and a knack for getting the ball. I think he will go higher than a lot of people think.

Colin Kaepernick did not get hem there. That was a very good team before he joined them. But I still get your point.

He's 5-10, but a good answer.

I'd argue that Jenkins is better in man coverage.

Minter was the biggest loss to the defense IMO. A lot of mocks have him going to the ravens, which I think would be a great fit for both. See him as a solid 8-10 year starter.

He's going to blow up the NFL, too! One of the top 20 DBs to ever play college football.
