Dominance of SEC is over if you haven't noticed already. Northern schools have more money, weaker schedules, and so the playoff format favors them more. No team can hold depth so they just pluck all the SEC talent off the rosters and this is your result. That's why the Big 10 has been dominating the new playoff format. SEC can't even sniff a NC game anymore and they've been downright awful in post season play. You have a few rich schools in the SEC but in comparison to the endowments/alumni up north, as a collective, it's much bigger with more money/billionaires.

I wish we could have had Texas and hard to type “nd” Notre Dame, (can’t believe I said that) in the playoffs.

That's understandable.

From time to time the THE conference must step aside to save the big picture. Heck, we even had a "coachless" Ole Miss almost show up in the natty this year.

Currently, they will have real soft conferences set up to win that we will call "flashes in pans". That's right, winning 2 - 3 years in a row is called a "flash".

Holler back if they get to 4. Call and ask for "Blue Boy" because I will be holding my breath.
