re: McNeese game was unremarkable...

Thank you for that post!! I really think that is what makes us McNeese supporters irritated. If you go to McNeese and are a fan of LSU, fine with me. But to belittle the school you attend is rediculous. You can love your tigers no matter what, but why feel the need to TOTALLY TRASH McNeese when you attend that school? What has McNeese done to you execept provide you with an education?

Most McNeese fans are LSU fans also. My family were season ticket holder forever to LSU games and I grew up going to LSU games. I lived in Lake Charles and never went to a McNeese game until I enrolled there in 86. I have since supported McNeese and am a long time season ticket holder. I still love LSU, but McNeese is my number one team.

No, McNeese can't even start to compare it's self to LSU and we know we aren't LSU so why feel like you have to trash us? I just don't get it. Why can't you just admit that we did come out here Saturday with a team that is so down this year with youth and injury and gave LSU a good game. We're not saying we are better but most on here predicted a blow out score. That didn't happen. Can't you just give us a little credit? When you can't it makes you look like an arse.

I have never read this board before but as an LSU fan also, I am very disappointed with most of the posters on here who can't even acknowledge that McNeese DOES have a winning tradition in our division, DO have a good fan base that supports our team, and HAS a very good following. Just because LSU is so good doesn't mean you can't be man enough to give some love to another team that gets the opportunity to play against you.

Being able to acknowledge the good in another team and the fact that they played a hard game against you doesn't make LSU inferior. It makes you, as a fan, seem confident in your team enough to see the good in the other team. And if you can't you just look like an arse.

Sorry such a long post. My first and probably my last, but after reading this board for a week I just had to get it out of my system. Good luck to LSU the rest of the year. I can now be the LSU supporter like I have always been.
