Wade built the McNeese program in one summer in which he wasn't allowed to go off campus to recruit. He is on a 2 year show cause. He couldn't coach for the first 10 games.
The excuses that the McMahon apologists give don't fly. Basketball is a sport in which team turnover will be a yearly occurrence. That is the new landscape. McMahon has not yet shown He can hang with the big boys.

LSU Baseball and Women's Basketball are National Champs in their 2nd year under a new coach who was hired by Woodward. LSU football won the West in BK's first year. He was also hired by Woodward. I am not covering for Woodward's bad decision to hire McMahon. It is going to happen. He just needs to right the ship and hit on the next one. Maybe no one wanted to take the job with sanctions possibly hanging over. The possibility of sanctions is gone so now he should have more options.

Yeah a Hall of Fame WBC Coach wanted to come home.
LSU Baseball is probably the best college baseball program (Blueblood) in the country.
Basketball, not so much. The Coach has to earn wins here. Johnson like Kelly wanted to win a Championship.
With NIL, plus LSU's reputation,(which Orgeron helped build) Kelly's job should be much easier than previous hires.
