that and we lack a game changer like TM7 or PP
That's why we need the Makers.

I'm not completely sure either but you just named 4. Talent is not the problem, whether it is 4, 5, or even 3 star, we are not lacking it.

I'm going to go with what I have seen since the first game and it's not good. They are losing confidence if they don't find it quick and fricking learn how to pass block LSU will be embarrassed.

Yeah. New year. New QB. Same old shitty offense we've seen for the past 4 years.

It's a trend all right....bad coaching and play calling.

And the Swamp is a great place to work on team chemistry.

The early season expectations were built on a roster that looked completely different than the current roster. The early season / preseason expectations were made with Mathieu, Tahj Jones, Tyler Edwards, Alfred Blue, Chris Faulk, and JC Copeland in the lineup. Losing that many key players would take a toll on any great team.

We still should have played better against Towson even with losing the above players. The above players could cost us a few games though I do agree.

The biggest loss, by far, was Chris Faulk, and it is not even close.

No doubt. I agree with this.

Not blaming it on Copeland at all. I am just pointing out that it is tough for anyone to lose that many significant starters during the course of the season and still live up to preseason national championship type expectations that were placed on them.

I think with those 6 guys still in the lineup, we are still sitting at number 2 and look like a completely different team.

if that is the case all the les haters will be out in full force and point and said I told you so. I have been very critical of Les but nothing like some.

There is no doubt we should have played better. I'm not worried about the score of that one game though. No matter what anyone says, getting focused to play a team like Towson is tough. Bama only beat Western Kentucky 35-0. It happens where these teams hang with the big boys occasionally.

I am worried about the lack of pass blocking ability on the left side of our offensive line and that clearly showed itself against Towson.

Hopefully all the RB fumbles were just an anomaly, which I think it was, given that we had more RB fumbles in this game than all of last season.

Be it injuries, suspensions, youth, or whatever. Maybe the early season expectations are not fitting with the capabilities of this current roster. Hope I am wrong, but we have some growing up to do. I don't think either the AU or Towson games are outliers, we just need to buckle in for the ride.

Dont want to admit this so early in the season but the time is upon us. If we cant get it together on saturday, we have to face the facts. I give the team one more game to rally and reach their full potential. If this doesnt happen, Im not jumping off of the wagon but I will lower my expectations for this season. Hopefully we come out on fire and start a new trend for this season.

Yeah, we had a ton of 238 passing yard games the past 4 seasons. I guess you want to see a 60 yard bomb every play from scrimmage and win every game by 60+.

The UF game has gone from another "ho hum" easy win to an ultra competitive matchup within the space of two weeks.

Definitely could add some more excitement into the mix.

That's relative. We're still, IMO, a top 10 team this year--maybe top 5 or 6. That's elite among the 120 FBS schools.

But I honestly don't believe, and will be happy to be proven wrong, that we are a top 2 or 3 team (MNC contender). We have a 1st year starter who's doing fine, but being kicked around due to unrealistic expectations, an heretofore unimpressive receiving corps, mediocre O-line, a great but appreciably diminished D, and no stand out leaders/motivators on the team (at least as far as we can see).

10-2 is a reasonable expectation. That's pretty damned good. 1/9 hurt me so much because I was apparently one of the few people who realized that we'd be unlikely to field a team that strong within the next few years.

We'll see.
