Think again.

2017 - 9-4

You can write the record on paper and while it looks good on paper, 5 of the 9 wins were against teams that had at least 6 losses, 4 of which fired their head coach. The highlight of the season was beating a 4 loss Auburn team, which at the time, yes, did not have 4 losses but in the end did.

We had the worst loss to Moo State in the history of the two teams playing and lost to a stupid SunBelt team at home on Homecoming.

So excuse me if I don't get all giddy after this past season.

Recruiting has not slipped. If anything it has gotten better.

The heck it has. Compared to who's team? Last time we had a recruiting class anywhere near the ranking we just finished with was 16 years ago and isn't O supposed to be some kind of recruiting ace? He signed no corners, a position of need. Why is it that I know this yet the head coach does not, or if he does, chooses not sign any? Does that make any sense?

quote:

If you expected a national championship last season who's fault is that?

Where did I say I expect a national championship last season? But I will remind you, that Orgeron himself did say we'd be in the playoffs playing for one.

Straight from O's mouth 1 year ago

Well Eaux needs to do a better schedule next time. He did the schedule himself the past season and deserves every bit of the blame for winning those games.

I thought Greedy and his leading the SEC BY FAR in QB rating when being thrown to was the highlight of the season.

BUT, the four loss Auburn team beat both teams that played for the National Championship.

Besides the one of the teams that played for the NC Auburn only lost to LSU, another team that played in the college football playoffs (Clemson) and an undefeated team in the bowl game.

Horrible season for Auburn by anyone's standards. Beating Alabama and Georgia and having to watch the two losers play for the title.

And beat a fricking 4-loss Auburn team after that. The only bad part is that LSU didn't have starters out and have to start 2 freshmen on the O-line in the losses. That would have really sucked.

My point is that those were weak teams. When we faced a team with a defense, we struggled. Again, the highlight is the Auburn win. Lost by 14 to Alabama and lost to ND in the bowl game. Lost to Moo State and then the whole Troy thing.

First off the "horribly" ranked class does not include three players that Eaux recruited and signed that will play this year.

Breiden Fehoko who started in his very first game and all 25 games he played at TX Tech. 5-star prospect by Scout

Jonathon Giles a Biletnikoff candidate his last year at Texas Tech

Thaddeus Moss the No. 123 player nationally regardless of position by Rivals.com

Not to mention that the 4-star safety who signed and is being move to CB was a 5-star CB before moving to safety.

Also Dare Rosenthal who was a 5-star O-lineman before moving to D-line and getting dropped to a 3-star who may possibly get moved to his 5-star position.

Also Chase Hines who was a 5-star or very high 4-star depending on the recruiting service before switching to defensive tackle may also possibly move to O-line.

Also LSU's 19th rated player of the 22 signed according to the services was named to the 6A 1st team All-State team in Florida.

Yeah, the recruiting class sucked. like the 15th rated class sucks anyway. Clemson has had worse classes than LSU's recent class and has been in the playoffs for how many years now? Beating Bama for their title.

If you took the five stars LSU signed that were not five stars at the positions they switched to LSU would be in the top 10 easily.

Mostly transfers.

Solid players but little depth. At least at corner.

Because it is impossible for a TRUE LSU fan to be convinced to pull against their Tigers !!!

I'll be here for a while, may as well get used to it.

he wouldn't be a top 20 candidate for Vandy's dc.

and this notion that ed orgeron wpupd pass up DC offers to remain a dline coach is cute.
he is a horrible head coachand no amount of your nut gargling will change that.

Who’s pulling against LSU?

Just because someone doesn’t drool over the head coach doesn’t automatically mean they want LSU to fail.

I hear you brother. I can't stop crying about last season myself. I wish LSU had hired at least a couple new staff members and didn't retain the entire staff from last year's horrible winning season but they did. On top of that shite, they went out and added a freaking shadow staff filled with analysts. LSU is doomed I tell you, doomed !!!

youre shitting on a team that won the sec title while touting a 4 loss 2017 team?

maybe one day ed orgeron can prove he can consistently finish better than dead last in the west.

miles has 3 times as many sec west titles has ed orgeron has seasons where he didnt finish dead last in the sec west.

the highlight of his head coaching career is taking 52 4 snd 5 star players into the weakest lsu schedule this century and having 4 losses. 2 of which were historic.

the only good thing about lsu losing is not having to see you and spacebrain litter the board with your ed orgeron is great bullshite. he is a bad coach that only our clown ad would thing was worthy of a coordinators job, let alone a HC job.

But yet he did better than your gay lover last season and as good as your other hero in his last few years at LSU in his first year as the head coach.

My bad, I didn't realize this thread was about the LSU head coach AND I'm the one who started it !!!

If you want LSU to fail because you dislike the coach, go for it. I don't care.
