I don't think Mainieri is the hitting coach. However, he is responsible for the hitting coach.

If you mean UCLA played a good game by capitalizing on LSU errors and bad coaching decisions then yes they played a great game. I'm not one of those guys but LSU lost this game. 2 unearned runs for the victory is not an earned win that means the other team gave you the game. Don't get me wrong I wish we were in their shoes but if a team is built to play from the losers bracket its us
