Well God the Father and the Holy Spirit are also perfect, but point taken.

One of the best college basketball players ever to play the game.

God doesn't give a shite about what flag you flew on Earth when you die. People take flag worship wayyy too far

A free market economy is far from Christian.

That stand he made against the flag cost him dearly, he was done and the NBA was done with him. He was and still is the best college bb player we may ever see at LSU. His beliefs cost him a fortune in earnings. I will always love CJ, Rauf not so much.

WWII and before, yes. Every "war" after that was American aggression/empire building. To believe otherwise is to be a product of severe brainwashing.

Lol. Really?? So God plays favorites now?? Ok. FWIW, most of our major founding fathers were Deists, NOT Christians.

First why don't some of y'all take this shite to the Poli board if his views offend you so much. It astounds me that the ones screaming about him are the same ones yapping about American freedom. Part of that freedom is the ability to have different views than the majority. Off soap box

Chris Jackson's freshman season was IMO the greatest season by a CBB freshman ever and will probably never be topped.

I feel lucky to have been able to experience it live and in person and it will always be looked at by me as one of my favorite memories of LSU basketball

I have great memories of CJ as an LSU bb player. I was in the Summit in Houston the night he put up 51 pts against Texas. That was something to behold! I had some mixed emotions once he converted to Islam, and he really threw me a curve when he didn't want to stand for the National Anthem. Last night I was looking for a video of the LSU vs UT game and I stumbled on "My Story" NBA Legend Mahmoud Abdul Rauf, on You Tube. If you haven't seen it you're really missing something. I have to say that after watching it I respect the man more than ever. Put your religious and political biases aside for a while and give it a look. I'm glad I did.

A typical statement from a ungrateful POS that enjoys the benifits of real men dying for his freedom so he can say stupid shite on TD.

I appreciate your views on Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf. A decent and honest way of thinking like yours are rare nowadays; I can learn from it...thanks.
For me, Abdul-Rauf's story reflects a free man's struggle to find peace in his heart. God bless him!
