"I thought the defensive staff worked extra hard to accomplish a quality game plan vs Oregon's fast paced Offense."

"Its way too early in the year to feel like we've accomplished anything. There's a necessity to improve. The team understands that."

Miles on Randle not being bigger part of offense:

"We would like to have used him more. Some coverages they played crowded him at times."

"His progress will come quickly. He's getting 2nd team reps. Not ready to say whether he'll play vs NW ST."

Sam Montgomery is an untendered spirit. He enjoys playing. He plays with great passion and I want him to stay that way.

"This is a special defense. Everybody doing their job. Taking coaching extremely well."

"Michael Brokers was our def MVP. Pushes the pocket and makes plays. Logan, Freak, Downs a number of guys rotated through."

"With Simon and Mo at the corners, we feel like we can match up with any 2 WRS."

"Stampley was an offensive MVP. He blocked the 5 tech, DTs, DEs, LBs, bith safeties. Maybe only one other corner he didn't meet during the game."

On Michael Ford:

"He's downhill powerful runner, developing into a full, well-rounded back."

"Wares yards after contact are really good. A great mix there. Look forward to getting Alfred Blue and T. Magee in there."

"If Ware can take a toll on a defense and you can bring some fresh legs in there, its an advantage."

A lot of good stuff in there.

Miles is real proud of the team, but he wants to keep them focused on improving and the next opponent.

Was real complimentary of several other players that I didn't quote.
