I think this would be extremely tough 19 seconds is fairly slow but on the 15+ run thats impressive. I remember doing full field sprints when i played soccer in HS and we had to do about 20+. I threw up and i was 6ft a buck 80 and ran cross country back then.

I had to do bear crawls the rest of the day because i ralphed

I've seen a lot of variations of 110 yard sprints, but 26 of them is really crazy. Hopefully it helps our guys.

Insane. We ran about 10-12 in HS and they were absolute killer. Usually at the end of practice in the heat.

False. LSU has been running 26 110s since the early Saban years. They split the guys up into a morning group and an evening group

Tommy Moffitt used to run every sprint with both groups. FACT.

Really? 26 of them? Not saying it isn't true, but I'm sur curious why current players act like this is new.

ETA: you mean to tell me moffit runs with all 3 groups, twice a day? So 26x3 =78x2 =156 110 yard sprints daily for moffit?!? frick Sylvester Stallone, he should have been Rambo

No fool. They split the entire team up into 2 groups. Half the team ran in the morning, half in the evening. Then he ran with one of the three position groups. Total is 52.

What are you talking about when you say a current player is acting like 26 110s is new

I guess this is why LSU (and Moffit) is known for one of the best strength and conditioning programs in the country... if not the best.

Hasn't Moffit won awards?

Well since you decided to twist my words, I returned the favor. I have said 4-5 times this thread alone that this is the most intense sprinting for linemen I've seen, but didn't know what else is out there. Did you read the entire thread? I'm not saying they haven't ran this here in the past, but if you can't link anything reliable, I'll continue to believe this is the most extreme lineman workout I have seen.

I was commenting on you saying that we're doing this just for oregon. Because that is wrong, LSU has done this for years

And since you asked, these guys ran 26 110s:

Well what a nice way to add information to the discussion. And they are running this for Oregon. It's the first game of the year. You train for the upcoming season, and last time I checked that includes the first game. What am I missing? If this was going on for the last 10 years, GREAT! It adds to
my point that LSU is in the top teir of conditioning in the SEC. Is this confusing you? You could have gathered this from the thread.

You have to have some level of retardation to be a big time CFB s&c coach. You're asking some of the best athletes in the country for everything they are physically capable of and more

I am sure that LSU is conditioned. Oregon is different than any other team in the country though. It's the way they practice. Oregon uses practice to condition the players. It's great to do wind sprints. However, can you do wind sprints and know your assignment? Oregon practices are windsprints while knowing where you need to be. Can you keep your mental edge fatigued as hell?

I really don't know if conditiong will factor into the game though. If LSU can create enough 3 and outs all the conditioning factor is mitigated entirely.

No doubt there is nothing like trying to defend your offense when it is hitting on all cylinders. The mental part will be key.

Just pointing out it isn't anything new, and had we been playing southeastern in week 1, the playerswould still run 26 110s. Way to swing it in your favor big guy you take this one home
