Ok, I don't disagree with your semantic argument. However, also explained the how I was using this term and this doesn't change the fact that the university can govern the event how it sees fit.

So you can walk into any event, meeting, function, etc. that you want to on the campus? You may be able to get into it however you do not have a right to and the likelihood that you are removed is very high.
