LSU is a STATE university and the state has limits to it's power and one of them should be you don't get to put cameras on people to watch their every word, especially the ones that are currently paying tuition.

That is correct however this is not a public event. It is essentially a private event put on by the university that it regulates.

Wrong. Let's see LSU try to discriminate on who it let's in since this is a "private" event and see how long it takes for the first lawsuit to get filed.

So the organization that is putting on the event isn't really putting on the event and isn't responsible for the event. If something goes wrong, do you blame the attendees? If you want to complain about someone's behavior, who do you mention it to? The other persons attending? Are they the people who handle this?

And you are trying to paint me as unreasonable or unrealistic? You are stretching yourself past your limits.

Remember when I told you to work on making coherent sentences? You should probably keep working at it.

The upper decks do not physically touch the lower bowl, therefore not "part" of the stadium. That is LSU's argument for liquor in the suites.

It's not the people in the suites organizing vulgar chants and comparing them to the students is apples to oranges.

Professors/Instructors in classrooms who might be cursing isn't the same as 10,000 students yelling STTDB.

You were a band member, right? If not, my mistake. However, the current band is opposed to the cheer as are many of the students.

If LSU hosted it's athletic events as a "private" entity, they could do a whole lot of things that they can't do as a state entity. Do you really disagree with that?

Nobody. You're watching a football game. Mind your own business. There are security personnel scoping the stands out for disrupters. Let them do their job and stop appointing yourself the stadium hall monitor.

I'll be ok. I can handle myself.

In this case, I don't consider it public in the sense that you do not have the freedom to simply walk in and attend. You have to pay for a ticket and in doing so you agree to abide by the regulations that the university uses to govern the event.

It is a public event put on by LSU.

Anyone can buy tickets if there are any available. There are no restrictions on who can buy tickets.

A private event would be by invitation only, maybe a TAF event like I went to at the Cox Bldg. or the TAF event in the Journalism School or in the Wally Pontiff room at the new Box.

Sardog, you just got blasted by someone on your side of the argument. May be time to try a different stance.

Again, I cannot help that you cognitive skills are not developed enough to handle compound sentences. Maybe when you get further in your education, you will be able to understand them but for now, try to keep up as well as you can.

What los angeles tiger meant by obscenity in the classroom has, unsurprisingly, gone over your head. You're obsessed with others' word choice to the point that you understand very little in this debate.

STTDB in the student section is not obscene.
Teaching socialist propagandist theories as fact in the classroom, for example, is very obscene.

You thought he was talking about bad words in class.

Comprehension. I never said that it was a private entity. It is absolutely a state entity. Do you argue that a state entity is not capable of hosting a private event?
