I still say 13 losses or less gets them in.

The Simmons hype may have carried weight earlier this year, but not much now.

Not when the LSU AD/NCAA Committee Member already let it be known the standard for an At Large Bid is at least an RPI better than 80.

LSU sits at 88 right now.

You're too close to the situation. I live in Colorado. Simmons' media attention is still huge from a national perspective.

This is my thought process too. Based off Simmons being a once every 10 year player. But we cant continue to lose. Have to show up in these next four games and win two in the tourny.

Yes but the recent talk is about him not going class.

Will people stop saying this? Its not true. In the last 10 years Simmons isnt in the top 5 of draft grades coming out if highschool.

I hope you're right, but I think we may have to beat both Florida and Kentucky, not to mention the other games and the first round of the tourney to get in.

He needs to knock that shite off. Although, him being considered a "student" athlete is pretty much a joke at this point. Still, all Simmons needs to do is carry on the charade of being a student for a few more weeks.

Then he can buy and sell every one of us.

Ooook RickyBobby.

He has a ceiling like AD. Already unselfish. Knows the game, for a freshman. An athlete that is malleable is pretty good. Cant shoot well and is 19... is that your concern.

It may not be true, but it's the perception. And that perception is what will help us sneak in.

Sure, but will it be for the better?

@Arkansas RPI 138
Florida RPI 32
Missouri RPI 201
@Kentucky RPI 12

Just for fun, here are projected outcomes for those games:

Arkansas 77-82 L
Florida 74-66 W
Missouri 87-71 W
Kentucky 68-83 L

i dont have a concern. He is agreat player but he isnt a once in a decade player yet. He may have a really hogh ceiling.

It certainly won't be because we're one of the most deserving teams, but because of the Simmons factor

Not anymore... We probably lose three of the last four games... The N.I.T.???? Maybe.... The so-called Simmons factor has long gone my friend.....

No its not. No one is calling him a once in generation player right now. He is a stud that will be the first pick but he probabaly wont win the Wooden award. A once in a generation talent wins the Wooden award. His ceiling is really high but there have been multiple players with higher draft grades than Simmons.

Im not disagreeing with media. No one is calling him a once in a decade player. First pick for sure and before the season people were saying maybe.
