Long gone are those days. Well, not so long ago.

LSUAD (Combined with mediocre football) has totally ruined it.

Corporate Tickets. See and be Seen. Wine & Cheese. Day Games. PIM Golf/Tennis crowd atmosphere for the majority of most games. First half of big SEC games an exception. Only Bama for full game.

It's not just the AD, it's the student section and the fact that for too many their priority has flipped from the game to tailgating. It used to be that the student section was still full and all that was left when things weren't going well, now they lead the way out. We lost plenty of games back in the 80s, and then mid 90s when I was in school. Didn't stop the fans though. Early 90s, now that was sad. Working concessions while in high school, it was easy to walk out and claim an entire section for yourself in the upper south section. For the crappy matchups, at least.

Anyway, I don't remember the OSU game. I remember a couple that year and the year before that I went to, those were my first. I was 9-10.

Yes, miss those days! Not every game in the country on TV, so a national TV spot was coveted! AND, because of that, and the fact that OSU was such a draw, Tiger Stadium was rocking!
But, as others have said, we have an AD, Prez and administration who no longer values tradition or cares to preserve the unique aspects of Tiger tailgating or LSU tradition. Nothing will change until LSU has new leadership.
