Is this the perfect trap game for our team? Georgia is starting to click on both sides after the loss to Okie State. Is this a big statement game to knock off the #4 team in the country?

We shouuld not be the #4 team in the country. My question is if we do get beat do we become the Ole Miss of the past week and drop out of the top 15

Of course not. UGA is no SC.

If we lose big by 21 or more points, yes we actually deserve a #19 ranking, if it is close, the we stay in the top 12

Nope...it's far from a 'trap game.' Trap games are games that you are suppose to dominate the opponent, but don't b/c you are overlooking them. Typically, the underdog has some talent.

UW was a trap game...UGA is a pick'em game...not a trap at all. The Tigahs realize that they better bring their A-game between the hedges.

I posted this in another thread, but feel it needs repeating:

I am a teacher, so history gives me perspective. While Georgia has not been a huge rival for us, they have been the Waterloo or the making of LSU coaches:

1979 - LSU is coming of a mediocre season but is loaded with talent and looking strong in spite of losing a titanic struggle with USC. LSU goes to Athens and loses, and while the rest of the season was "ok" the air was out of the balloon and Charlie Mac was done.

1991 - Curly Hallman starts his coaching career with a 31 to 10 beat down at the hands of Georgia. He never recovered, he never had the confidence of the fans or the team and the Dark Ages began.

1998 - DiNardo has "brought the magic back" to Tiger Stadium, is coming off a 9 win season with the most highly touted stable of running backs in the nation. LSU loses a one point heartbreaker to Georgia. Dinardo would only win three more games at LSU and he was gone.

2003 - Nick Saban's highly publicized win over Georgia helps to propel LSU to the BCS game where LSU hangs on to beat Oklahoma and change Nick Saban from good to legend.

2004 - Georgia gets revenge on Saban, embarrassing the Tigers before a national audience, and Saban starts looking for an exit strategy.

2009 - LSU is in transition, the fans are demanding, maybe unrealistic, and Les Miles has arrived at Waterloo, is he Napoleon or The Duke of Wellington? we will know in less than a week.

Hell, Georgia doesn't look too good right now either. Should be a hell of a game.

I think by definition a "trap" game implies that LSU is overlooking this game.

Yea, Georgia owned USC by 4 points, only winning at home by stopping USC on a fourth down play from like the five yard line. Georiga has been very inconsistent and pretty average this year as well.

More like you're a teacher so you are used to pulling things from thin air and try to make a connection.

You totally contradict yourself with the Saban part of this. So each time we play UGA it's Waterloo??

Whatever. The only SEC team Les has not beaten is UGA. I hope this is enought to get the hatter fired up.

"What's so funny?"(!?)

We suck, too.

We've given up 12 turnovers in 4 games, and our turnover margin is -8. We suck.

We're averaging almost 100 yds in penalties per game. We suck.

We allowed Arkansaw 41 points, SC 37 points, and our defense has been a sieve. We suck.

QB Joe Cox has thrown something like 7 INTs in 4 games. We suck, too.

It should really be a good game. We've both got enough question-marks to make an attorney proud. Can we stop ya'll? Can we move the ball on ya'll?

It'll be a good game.

Wouldn't call it a trap game when UGA is favored by nearly 3 pts.
